Does your TRD snore? Sarai snores every so often, but more often than any dog that I have owned. This is not recent either, as I have observed her snoring since I got her at 8 weeks old. The only time she really snores is when she is sleeping on her side and does not snore when she is curled up. I was just reading up on the causes for a dog to snore...overweight, old age, lives with a smoker, flat face, use of tranquilizers(pain meds), and allergies. I can say nope to all of those reasons for Sarai, except for allergies with all the dust and dirt here in AZ. Her snoring is no big deal to me, but I was just wondering if anyone's TRD snores too.

Sunee snored a couple of times when she was younger. Mostly when she was a puppy and slept in crazy 'puppy positions'. No more snoring though. Does Sarai's snoring sound wet or dry? lol

Ella snores like crazy. I think hers is probablly related to allergies. In fact, last night I woke her up because her snores started to sound really wierd. I think she was having a bad dream because she was kind of crying along with the snores.

Cyeana ( Blue TRD) snores everyday. The older she gets the lower the tone. It was really amazing when she was a puppy...if you didn't see her in the room you would swear it was a human. I really dont think snoring is caused by anything harmful....but it does get on my nerves at the office because her bed is under the drafting table. ( And yes.. she sleeps all day ! )
Penny ( Red TRD) does not snore at all.
Both dogs make " dream noises". Sometimes Penny starts running in her sleep. It is kind of cute.

Is it crazy dry in your house? I know you're in AZ which is known for fatabulous dryness... maybe a humidifier.. just throwing out ideas. I'd think that a more 'wet' sound would have to do with the set up of her throat.. and dry would be caused by the air..?? It's really not the end of the world if she snores though.. as long as she continues to breathe

Yeah, not breathing really becomes a problem for dogs. LOL! Jess, you're too funny!

Kidding of course, but it did hit 114 over here today, which wouldn't have been a bad idea to hose down the house! lol I'm not too worried about Sarai's snoring habits as she doesn't snore all the time.

Both of mine snore. I can't figure out if they are having a contest with my husband or ganging up on me with him to rob me of sleep.

I don't know, but the cats take it as a sign it's safe to move about the house undisturbed.

Mischief used to snore as a puppy, really, really loudly. She could have competed w/ my dad. She doesn't snore any more, but sometimes she will make "dreaming" whimpers and kick her legs. I'll lean over and whisper at her, "Catch that bunny!"

I got Ajax (also known as Jax sometimes!) from Gardener TRD in their last litter. He's about 3.5 months now and snores ALL the time. lol. But he also only does it when he's on his side mostly. If he's curled up in a little ball he's pretty quiet. Luckily he's not a grumpy sleeper so when I adjust his head to make him stop he doesn't mind.

Hi Amanda, Welcome. Sanee has the same parents as Jax. She will be 2 in January. She is lying next to me, (on her side), snoring away.
